PACIFIC HEAVY ONSITE FIELD SERVICING, LINE BORING & TRACK PRESS, BREAKDOWN RESPONSE
Pacific Heavy Mechanical operates where the work happens – on remote forestry blocks, mine sites, and job sites across the West Coast and South Island. We're a mobile heavy diesel operation, which means instead of waiting for a workshop slot or arranging transport for a machine, you get a fully equipped service rig arriving at your site with the tools, parts, and expertise to get the job done.
ONSITE FIELD SERVICING
Scheduled maintenance, delivered to your worksite
Keeping heavy equipment running in the forestry and mining industry isn't just about fixing problems when they happen – it's about making sure they don't happen in the first place. Pacific Heavy Mechanical brings the workshop to you, carrying out scheduled preventative maintenance onsite so your machines stay in the field and your operation keeps moving.
From oil and filter changes to full system inspections, every service is carried out to manufacturer specifications using quality parts. We work around your schedule to minimise disruption, and because we come to you, there's no downtime from transporting equipment to a workshop.
Whether you're running a logging operation deep in the Westland ranges or a mining site on the Coast, we'll be there – on time, fully equipped, and ready to work.
LINE BORING & TRACK PRESS
SPECIALIST SERVICES THAT SAVE YOU THE COST OF A REPLACEMENT
LINE BORING
Over time, the pin bores on heavy equipment wear out of round – affecting performance, accelerating further damage, and eventually putting a machine out of action. Line boring allows us to machine those bores back to true onsite, without the cost and delay of transporting equipment to a workshop. It applies across the full range of heavy machinery – excavators, dozers, graders, loaders, cranes, engines, gearbox housings, driveshafts, and more – and a precision bore means a properly fitted bush, restoring the joint to factory tolerances and extending the working life of the machine. For operations on remote forestry blocks and mine sites where transport costs are significant and downtime is expensive, it's one of the most cost-effective repair options available.
TRACK PRESS
Replacing worn track links, pins, bushes, or shoes requires breaking the track chain – and that means pressing out the master pin under high force. Our hydraulic track press handles this onsite across excavators, dozers, and other tracked equipment. Whether you're doing a full undercarriage overhaul or replacing a single damaged link after a strike, we have the gear to do it in the field rather than dragging your machine to a workshop.
BREAKDOWN RESPONSE
WHEN A MACHINE GOES DOWN, EVERY HOUR COUNTS
An unexpected breakdown in a remote forestry block or on a mine site doesn't just cost you a repair bill – it costs you production. Pacific Heavy Mechanical offers rapid breakdown response across the West Coast and South Island, with a fully equipped service rig that can reach you wherever your machinery is working.
Andrew takes breakdown calls around the clock. From hydraulic failures and electrical faults to engine problems and drivetrain issues, we carry the diagnostic tools, parts, and equipment to diagnose the problem fast and get you back up and running – without waiting days for a workshop slot or a parts run to the city.
We service all major heavy diesel brands and equipment – excavators, dozers, graders, scrapers, and support equipment.
